From Save Our Koalas Rally Organisers

This rally is a peaceful community rally, giving us the opportunity to celebrate our Koala and bring attention to their fight for survival.

The route has been approved by the city’s authorities and is as follows:

Meet in Brisbane Square at 11 a.m.
Rally will begin exactly at 12 noon

March up George Street, down Edward Street, up Charlotte Street and turn into George Street again towards Parliament House.
In the meantime we need you to gather as many people as possible!

It would be great if you could have a lead banner showing who you are and what you want to say. We encourage your banners to be soft eg. core flute or cardboard, as Police are encouraging us not to have any hard surfaces for people’s safety.

Slogans should be:

  • Respectful (no dead Koalas please!)
  • Clever & Innovative; but
  • Concise, with a message to all levels of Government that we’ve had enough and want our Koala’s habitat protected.

Rally T-shirt’s are available for approx $15-$20, or you may wish to represent your own group. If you would like to purchase a rally T-shirt please let us know via reply email.

We welcome your ideas to make this Rally a great success to ensure the future of our Koala in SEQ. We are their last hope!

Yours sincerely
